My 250 merc has been starting to get a little warm and the pee stream isnt quite what it used to be, so im thinking its time for an impeller change. It's been 3 yrs since its been done by a local mechanic, and the bill for that was quite high. Been told it's actually a fairly simple repair. I was wondering if there is anything to look out for before i tackle this job. By reading the manual it says put it forward gear, but a local mechanic said neutral is ok also before i pull the lower off. Any of you guys have any opinions?
