I have a 2003 Yamaha 40 TLRB 2-stroke that has started running very rough. It seems to me like it is flooding out. Initially I thought I had fouled a plug or two & changed the plugs with no effect. I started it on muffs and pulled each plug wire off one at a time, it ran the same no mater which wire was off. After which I removed the each plug and found they were all wet. None of the cylinders seem to be firing correctly. Being the plugs were wet, I'm thinking there's an issue in the enrichment system somewhere. I have the service manual & I see there's 2 thermal switches and am wondering if one of them is gone bad is effecting the enrichment system. Can someone answer this question and or point me in the right direction?

the 2 temp switches just send signals to the CDI to tell it the motor is warmed up and the other says it is too hot.
the enrichment system relies on voltage fron the lighting doil to warm up a wax pellet to push the needle down to close off the exess fuel when warmed up.

pick up a service manual for your motor and test to see what is going on with ignition system and the fuel

Probably a bad fuel pump diaphragm causing raw fuel to get sucked in causing rich mixture....easy test, easy fix....remove fuel pump by 2 10 MM hex bolts, leaving fuel lines connected, then pump primer bulb and check for fuel coming out of hole/port on back of pump....should be none....new pump about $50....
