2003 Yamaha 90HP How can Tachometer be added?

How can console tachometer be added to 2003 Yamaha 90TLRB ? 3 cyl 1140 cc

It can be installed in any of a number of different ways. If a Yamaha tachometer is used then it will be plug and play. Tachometer mounts into a hole in the dash. A small harness connects to the tachometer at one end and to the key switch harness at the other end.

BUT....I saw the prices of OEM tachs......Can I use these same wires for aftermarket tachs???

If non-Yamaha components are used then it won't be plug and play. Cutting and splicing will be needed. Wire colours may not be consistent.
