JB..checked the serch and couldn't find anything on my question.

Fisrt, I have no way on knowing how many hours are on my f90. But it requires 2 things at 100 hours or 2 years.

1) Valave clearance check

2) Timing belt check.

Regarding the valve clearance. How much does a tech charge to perform this check ? I understand from other posts that it is easy to perform yourself. Will Yamaha honor that in the event I do have a warrenty related issue ?

Relativer to the timing belt. Do you just llok for signs of wear. What if the deflection is more than normal, how is that corrcted ? The timing belt looks fairly simple as it is on top of the engine.

Rodbolt /JB do you guys smoke cigars ? I have learned a ton of stuff here that just isin't in the liturature.

Thanks

Kid

no seegars :)
the checking/adjustmet procedure is simple. takes an hour or less to check the valve clearence. same with the timing belt. I dont have my manual in front of me but the service manual is very clear on the procedure. I would reccomend purchasing a set of go/nogo feeler gauges. its easier.
