JasonJ,

There still is alot of "market differentiation" among models for domestic and overseas.

Re: 2004 f-150

well, made a radical 180 and now am very happy with my toyota. truth is, for what i need right now, my '02 fully loaded tacoma double cab is much more truck than the new 150s i was looking at. i couldn't get past the small back seat. i didn't want to shell out the extra couple grand for the supercrew, and the supercab was just so **** small. and the more i look at it, i still love my truck and know if i decide to keep it, will probably give me 300k miles like every good toyota. still a nice truck, though. just not for me at this moment. thanks for the info fellas...

Sweet. Its a Toyota, so you know it will run like a swiss watch and keep running for a billion miles. Plus, you'll have resale value as well. Its hard to believe a small truck can have more room than a fullsize, but hey if it works, I'm happy for ya...

hello
cool looking truck.
looks like most the rest of the tourists here on the beach. they love to drive through the surf and over the beach then wonder why the beast rusts away from under them. if you persist on driving the beach them make sure that you wash the compleate undercarragie after each driving session with a salt nuetralizer. you cannot belive how many transmission lines and brake lines I have replaced on 3-4 year old vehicles from yankeeville:). the ocean air here is almost as bad as the salted roads of the midwest and north east.
good truck though.
but from what I see here on the bypass they cannot accelerate if they have white tags, takes 1 to 1 1/2 miles to make 50 MPH with the brake light flickering :) .
sad to say but the old rice burners seem to be about all that is left that will outlast the payments on the vehicle before the first failures. a friend of mine bought a new silverado in 99 and it ate front tires, finally the GM dealer here on the banks told him its a 4wd and will eat tires. my 87 v-20 goes 65-70k on the tires his went 10-15 k.
now he drives a dodge.
ps my poor rusted away net truck v-20 has 290K of the most abused miles ever. the truck had just at 100 miles the first time the ocean washed over the winshield. the past 140 K I did change the trans oil once and the engine oil twice. I would have done it more if I had known it was going to last that long.
so good luck keep the salt off and that truck should go 250K with ease.
