2004 Johnson 90HP smoke and leaves gas on the top of water from exhaust

I have Johnson 90. I runs good. The idle is off a little. It smokes when I start it. I noticed there was gas on the water and smelled like gas. I think it was coming form the exhaust(smoke). Can anyone help? I think it might runs its on course but I want to make sure that it is OK.

you may be running the carbs a little rich but about the worse thing that should happen is you foul a plug or two. Do you mix your own gas & oil or does the engine take care of that If you mix make sure the mix is right by the way welcome to iboats
