Was out boating, engine was idling great and running well. Engine would not exceed 2400RPMs. Upon examination, I realized that the distributor cap was very loose and the housing had cracked not allowing it to tighten down. Bought new parts. Made a massive mistake...forgot to mark wire locations. I know the firing order but I am confused how it relates to the distributor cap and locations. Appreciate the help GREATLY in advance. Can't get her going at this time....

welcome aboard high-shcool auto mechanics 101 start by pulling number one plug, put finger over hole, crank it. when your finger gets pushed off, motor is near TDC on #1. from there look to see where the rotor is pointing. that would be #1 cylinder on the dizzy. from there follow the firing order.
