2005 2400 dash switch question

I have a 2005 Regal 2400. I bought it used and the switches on the dash do not light up with backlighting. In the dark it is completely impossible to see them at all, much less tell which one does what. Does anyone know if these should be back lit? It doesn't look like it, but I am hoping to hear something different.

Neither of the two Regals I owned had backlit switches. Would be nice though... Perhaps you could rig up a small 12 volt lamp with a red bulb to shine on them. Alternatively, you can just memorize their locations like I did.

Thanks for the help. That's disappointing. Regal seems to do such a good job with the details - to not have that is surprising to me.
