I have gotten my engine started and running thanks to all suggestions I got here.
I have done the following , new rotor , cap , plugs, installed water/separator filter and carb has been cleaned and rebuilt .
The engine runs a little rough at idle and surges when I go slow. At 3/4 and WOT it runs fine.
Any suggestions on where to go from here?? What to check??
