Well I bought a 05 Tahoe late last fall and put it up for the winter. I drained the engine block but forgot about the manifold drains and the left one is cracked bad and blowing water out and the other side I can feel a hairline crack but it's not leaking. I want to replace both but do I need to replace the risers too or just inspect them? Also it's an 05 so I think this is a dry-joint? What's a good source for the manifold or kits? Thanks

Have you already run the engine?

i would replace the risers at this time just so everything will be nice and new. As far as where to buy them, it depends on where you live. That’s a lot of cast iron being loaded onto UPS trucks. See who has the best deals on shipping.

get risers and manifolds.

did you drain the power steering cooler? if not, you may need to look into one of those too.

Get both. Because of the casting process, sometimes old exhausts don’t mate well with new risers...and vice versa
top tip...get all 4 of the riser to exhaust bolts started on their thread before tightening and torquing down. All after pushing into the rubber exhaust piece first off, leaving that slack.
And watch you don’t snap the bolts when taking the old ones out. If Any doubt and they seem really tight...be patient. Leave them to soak in penetrating oil overnight. If not, you will have a nightmare....and likely when the sun is shining and perfect boating weather, haha.
