Both the RPM and Fuel gauge inoperable. Searched internet and viewed many videos that possibly the fuel sending unit. Having issue locating the part inside the boat to do
some testing. This is the 8.1 Liter. Do I need to remove panel(s) or tank to access? What do I need to check for the RPM gauge. So far I removed the whole cluster display and did not find any wiring issue like corrosion or connections. I replaced both the 5 year old battery recently since acquiring the boat. Is this common for the gauges to go bad?20231015_165127.jpg20231001_153717.jpg20231001_153622.jpg20231001_153537.jpg20231007_202849.jpg

tach signal is the grey wire. it comes from the engine wiring harness.

simple enough to test with a DVM with frequency counting

the fuel gauge is the pink wire. there is a required by law inspection hatch somewhere for the fuel tank connections and sender. use a DVM and check resistance of the sender.

also check for power to the gauges (purple wire) and ground (black wire)
