I have a 2005 Tracker 16 v with 50hp 2 stroke Mercury and was looking for a little more speed. Running about 26mph with 13p prop.
Tracker dealer suggested bumping up to a new 60hp Mercury 4stroke,claiming to bump the boat up to the mid 30's.
T:cool:his boat max is 60hp.

Looking for suggestions

I doubt it. 4 stroke is heavier and has less torque. I think you'd be running about the same as you are now except you'd be more friendly to the ears and the environment.

My choice... the 4 stroke.. But....... before you jump, go have a look at the E-Tec's. Same price, better motor.

Not it would give you a little more power. They have good topend unlike most people think. but does 2 or 3 mph worth thousands?
