I have 2005 mercury 60 hp 4 stroke, had to replace the low pressure pump. Now when I use the primer ball it pumps fuel though the fuel cooler on side of the vapor separator and out of the water pump intake. What stops the water and the gas from mixing? Do I try to start it to get the high pressure pump to draw the fuel?
