We have a 2006 150 hp mercury motor with 15 hrs on it. It started missing real bad the third time we had it out
So we took it back to the dealer 275 miles one way. They said I had fouled out spark plug #6. that I had caused it by doing too much idleing.(It's still cold here in Mt.) and they replaced just the one plug.. back on the lake running at 5k to 6k rpms and in 20 minutes it starts again a little at first then it gets so bad We didn't think we'd make it back. I installed a full set of new plugs (not easy on the water) All the plugs looked good and the same. It ran great for 25 minutes again in the 5k to 7k rpms. Then started missing again at 45 minutes it was so bad "again", we thought we'd have to get out the water wings Before I haul it back to the dealer and spend the $$ on fuel and a room for the night. Any one have a clue what I / they should look for ?
