2006 Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha Fuel Line Overflow

Hi ... I'm new to boating and bought my first boat. A used 2006 Mariah SX18 w/ 3.0 I/O Mercruiser Alpha which has 64 hours. From the start I have had problems with filling the tank. It overflows regardless of the tank level. It will do it from the start, middle to the end of fueling process. The overflow is not small. It comes on sudden and gushes out a large amount. I have to fill it a little bit at a time. The breather is open and it comes out the breather also. Help!!

Welcome to iboats......
You have a blocked fuel tank vent......
I would disconnect the hose where it enters the hull fitting & look for a blockage.....​
