2006 suzuki 140 trims down, but wont tilt up

my motor trims down fine but will not tilt up, from either the tilt switch on motor or at controls up forward. changed solenoid because of advise from mechanic. same result, down but no up. read it might be relay switch. not sure where that is. can anyone please help me.

i found a small blue wire that was torn apart from a butt connecter leading to the trim motor. reconnected it. i now get a clicking noise when i try to tilt motor up at either switch but still wont move up.

If you follow the blue and green wires from your PTT motor they will lead you to your relay. The blue and green wires are your voltage output wires from the relay. Check all the connections of the wires from this relay especially any grounds. A voltmeter would be a big help. Good luck? What solenoid did you replace?

thank you inducted. I just realized i was calling the relay a solenoid. woops. anyway i put the old relay back in, so i could get my 100 bucks back, than fixed the broken wire. the old relay clicked after that, so I reinstalled the new relay, and the tilt works fine now. lol. thanks for the help
