Yesterday after a day on the water, I noticed "oil" on the outside of my outboard below engine cowl, but above the Lower Unit. When I got home, I checked "engine oil" level and it was low. I filled to the proper level, checked that oil filter was tight, dipstick was properly inserted, etc. I ran the outboard with garden hose and ears attached, but I could not detect any oil leaks at all. Completely Puzzled by this!!! Someone suggested it may be "trim fluid" but again while trimming engine fully upwards and downward, I could not see anything leaking. Hopefully someone may be able to help before I spend hundreds of dollars to repair.
