I have a 200 Optimax and replaced the impeller. I can't get the clamp that holds the two shifter rods together to line up. Does anyone know a good procedure to accomplish this?

I think this will work on your motor, it works on all of mine... Take all the nuts/bolts loose from the lower unit EXCEPT the front nut. Loosen the front nut and let the lower unit drop down until the linkage has enough slop to be adjusted. Move it into alignment and then slowly tighten the front nut and the linkage should come together in alignment.

Thanks, but I don't have a bolt in the front. I have two bolts on each side and one under the saltwater protector. In order to get it down far enough to even get at the adjustment, all the bolts must be taken out and the lower unit pulled out about 3". Thanks for the suggestion though.
