2007 Tahoe Q6 merc 5.0 305 MPI motor won't start after running it

Still think its for the Mercathode. Being Red means its unfused, and the Orange would come from the Cathode it self, so the Brown is the reference.

Sure wish I could find something else that could lead us in another direction, but I'm coming up empty. Trying to find what is missing is real different then trying to find what isn't working

I was just reading another form. And them wires go to the Mercathode. But my boat is A type and not needed. And it just comes pre wired if you want it

another thing I noticed after running motor and I go to put in neutral it acts like its going to die and sometimes it does

That is caused by the shift interrupter adjustment. Get it where it won't start and then unplug the interrupter switch
