2007 Yamaha F115 - Trim leaking down

My brother just bought a used 07' 20' Bennington pontoon with an 07' F115. It runs great, but one little problem. He had it on the boat hoist with the motor trimmed up. When he went out yesterday afternoon, the motor was almost all the way down after sitting overnight. Didn't see any oil leaking anywhere. Any suggestions?

either the manual release is loose or the orings leaking internally,a trim ram oring is leaking,free piston in the tilt ram,upper chmber check valve or the thermal valve.
if its on a lift why leave it trimmed up and all the shiney parts exposed ?

I'll check the manual release. Not leaving it trimmed up and exposed to the elements is probably a good idea. I'll pass that info on to him. Thanks.

Thanks for the help Rodbolt. The manual release was not tight. Works perfectly. What a great site.
