2008 Alpha one-gen. 2 Trim/tilt sensors

In the process of replacing both trim/tilt switch/sensors... initially drive would only go up, so cleaned them, worked ok for a minute then failed again. Question on the right side switch (sender) there is a white disc with contact as on it inside of the sender unit, what is it called and what does it do. After removing the sender, I seem to have hid this part from myself as I deemed it very important! Thanks guys!

That is the trim sender , other side (port) is trim limit switch. Sender goes to gauge via engine and helm harnesses. sender just varies the resistance depending on position.

Limit switch goes to trim pump, sets how high drive can go up in trim mode before you need to use trailer button to go all the way up

Thanks....So, if I can't find this we'll hidden white disc, because it doesn't come with any of the trim/limit kits that I've seen on line, where do I get another one? This result of too many projects going at once!

Gotcha, but I've noticed that the white disc isn't included in any of the kits that I've found and I can't find the disc by itself, so am I missing something here?

If Scott is the only one who has worked on boat. I've inherited some creative wiring before, which was not fun to trouble shoot.
