2008 F115 normal/high RPM?

2008 Century Inshore 1902, Yamaha F115. Installed a hydrofoil to give me a little more control and it ended up being the best $50 I ever spent. I did not have my GPS only the console tach/speedo,, I ran 6,000 rpm and 43 mph.. I have a SOLAS SS prop same as the stock one, 19 pitch I believe. It was choppy or I could have trimmed it higher. Are RPM's a tad high??

I believe you want the max rpm for that engine to be around 6000 with your average load. I have a '06 F115 and had the problem of too high rpm. I was running around ~6300. I reduced rpm by increasing pitch from 19 to 20. Now with 1 and gear, I get to just 6000 rpm. With 2 and gear, I get 5900 maybe 6000. My speed with 1 is around 41mph. Sounds like you are fine; but I am no expert.
