Hi all. I have learned quite a bit about my boat since my very first posts here. Thanks for the tough love! :)

My question today is, First run this season on my new 5.7L engine. Starts great and we head out. However, for the entire ride of about 60 minutes, if I would full throttle it, it would cut back, hesitate, and force me to accelerate slowly instead. I couldn’t decide if it was flooding or not enough air. I did find upon return, the blower motor was NOT working. Could this be the issue? Bad, warm air? I was also seeing tips on changing out the anti-siphon valve.

All thoughts are welcome here! I’d love to get it running well next weekend. My daughter wants to water ski so bad.

The blower isn't the issue but does need to be fixed for safety.

The antisiphon valve could be the issue or maybe a weak fuel pump

I know this post is old, but I want to close it out with info for others. You are definitely correct that the blower motor has nothing to do with my issue. I was hoping the anti-siphon valve was going to be the issue next, but I have found that to be working well. (I am replacing it anyway since I have everything open.). I have attached a fuel pressure gauge to the rails, and found no pressure. So, I next went to what I believe to be the low pressure fuel pump and reservoir. The reservoir is definitely sludgy. I have it drained right now, and I have another post with a picture of the unit. I’m just waiting for confirmation that my picture is of the Cool Fuel unit. Grok tells me this is the Cool Fuel. General internet searches suggest I have found the trim pump reservoir.

Anyway, in short, you were correct that the blower motor had zero to do with my issue. Thank you.
