Hey guys, long time troller, first time poster. This thread has been amazing as I have done some repairs on my mercury recently. Have a 2008 Mercury 90hp EFi 4Stroke.
Getting it ready for boating season and pulled the lower unit off to replace water pump. No big deal. Noticed a plastic bushing with a mushroom type seal on the shift bar on the lower unit just freely spinning. Seal was cracked, replaced that. But now looking at it as I go to put the lower unit back in, I'm not exactly sure how that seal goes or exactly the orientation of the plastic bushing? Any help would be great! Have looked all over, and can't find another with this exact setup. Thank you so much in advance!
