Recently bought this boat from a relative...just in time to winterize it and put her away. Brought it home yesterday to get it ready to launch, and discovered I have no power to the instruments.
The motor cranks fine. The blower comes on when switched on. No alarm. No horn. And, no indications at all on any of the instruments. Ie., fuel meter stays dormant. I have pulled and checked all the fuses I can find. All look OK. That's the ones on the panel under the helm, as well as any I found in line on wiring both under the helm as well as in the engine compartment. But, must tell you was not using any schematics, so am sure I did not see them all.
Any ideas on where I should start my research?
I did a quick search on the forum, but didn't see where this was discussed...if the topic already exist, please advise where to look.
thanks in advance.

Is there a junction block? On my old boat crappy junction block always has loose connections
Also I have a line fuse in an out of the way place for panel that has blown.
Check grounds for corrosion too.

Good thought. Its good....one of the first things I checked. The engine does crank...just no gauges.
thanks for the reply

Flipping it ON doesn't mean its passing voltage
Power comes from the key to the purple wire. The purple wire goes to the kill switch then to the gauges and the motor. If the switch or the wire breaks connection, the gauges do not turn ON nor does the motor

Use a voltmeter and see if you have power at the key and then follow it
