200hp Black Max Year?? no Ser.# plate

I picked up a 200 hp black max engine. I learned much later that the power head was changed out. A buddy figures that I've got a '91 block on a '87 leg. GREAT!! Can anyone tell me how to get info off of the block to determine info for parts purchase etc...?

on the freeze plug ...top back of the engine ... the #s may be stamped there ....serial #s
