I have a 1998 200hp Johnson Oceanrunner with carburators that is starting to stall once I shift the throttle back from the minimum trolling speed into neutral.
The motor restarts no proplem after it stalls and runs fine at any speeds above 1000rpm. The stalling happens about 50% of the time. One thing I did notice is the idle appears to be dropping slowly at the summer season goes on. I have not adjusted any cables and did change both the motor fuel filter and remote filter with a water seperator in the spring. I have run several takes of gas through the boat over the last couple of months
The last couple of times I took the boat out it was starting to run a little rough at the minimum trolling speed and stalled a couple times.
My first thought is a lean fuel problem?
I would appreciate any thoughts or solutions to this problem
