hi all

i bought a used boat a few months back and have taken it out to a local lake about six times and it ran like a champ. I towed it up to the river last weekend and dropped it in the water it took a while to start then idled like crap. I switched gas tanks and it idled ok but died after about 20 seconds. I pulled it out and changed the fuel filter then put it back in started it up and cruised out when i opened up WOT it just bogged down so i brought it back in. Any ideas where i should start looking? I remember that the primer bulb never got hard and when i squeezed it it took a while to pop back out about 20 seconds. also I need help determining the year so I can buy a repair manual (any suggestions on a good manual)

model number is E200STLE9E
serial number is G 0252054B

Thanks in advance for your help

I think you copied your model number down. The 9 should be a letter of teh alphabet, one of the following - INTRODUCES

Once you get that straigthened out, you can determine your year:

I'm sure you'll get more expert advice, but from what you've written, my first look would be at the fuel supply from the tank(s) - something may be impeding the fuel to the primer bulb. You'd have to look all the way back to the pickup tube inside your fuel tank(s). Or, if your tanks have a vent that closes, the vent could be closed. Just a couple basic things to start with.

If the bulb remains flat for a while after you squeeze it, there is a flow restriction upstream. Could be the vent as mentioned. Could be the anti-siphon valve sticking. If the bulb is on the motor side of the filter, it could be something in the filter.

Knowing an approximate year might help you to figure out what letter than "9" might be.

This is the best guide I think (found in the link below) http://www.skoterskroten.com/img/arsmodellstabell.pdf

It gets a little confusing unless you know that the very last digit/letter in the model number is not a year designation, but manufacturing info.
