Hold on:ranger:
So is six getting any spark or do you just mean it never showed 6 on the flywheel when you had the timing light attached to 2?

Whatever is on the flywheel will show up whenever the light flashes on it.

I don't see what the problem is???

I see what you say but to simplify the mechanics, then why wouldnt 6 show up?

When u have timing light Hooked to #1 cylinder only shouldn't it just be that cylinder showing up? Or the whole bank

If you hook to any sparkplug lead and walk around the flywheel they should all show up, including any bugs. scratches or smiley faces you may have drawn. It's like taking a snapshot of the flywheel which would appear stationary.

I thought you were saying that cylinders 135 were firing at tdc for one every revolution?:director:

I'd assume you're using an inductive timing light? ie a 12v powered one that you can clamp around the plug lead(s)?

Never said it couldn't be the timer base. Could well be.

Yes I'm using a 12volt inductive timing light. Guess I'll see if I can figure out how to check timer base. But do u need a dva meter

Very often just a resistance check will show up a fault
Also a visual nspection can show something odd as well

Well I checked it as good as I could trying to follow omc manual. Timer base seems to be in spec 38 ohm reading every wire. And nothing grounded out. I'm hoping power packs is the problem should have them by the weekend. Thanks for all the help I let you know the results.
