2010 1418 sc throttle fitting ?

planning to buy 2010 1448 Grizzly john. a boat comes with console, steering wheel, cable and throttle for $ 2350.00.

I wonder if it will fit with 1964 Evinrude twin speed, 28 hp 2 cyl. Any advice will beappreciated, Cal s.

probably not. the OMC controls were different, but maybe someone has found a way to connect them.

Steering was by cable/pulley so check to see if you can use the steering tube, or have to have it fixed outside. But I've seen old whalers with encased cable steering, so maybe so.

Much as I love the old motors, since you're springing for a relatively new boat, maybe a newer motor is in order? And check the rating; 28 is big for a 14' jon, and heavy.

The Grizzly is rated at 25 hp. I don't see why you want all that complication.
It just adds weight,complication and more maintenance.Simple tiller makes sense. The 64 28
is rated at the powerhead so actual hp at the prop is about 25.Weight is lighter than todays 25's
so no issues on the boat.A good running motor would make about 30 with a light load.
A 70s or 80s motor would do a little better on fuel.
