My 2005 Suzuki blew up and I am repowering (less than 200 hours). Turns out although I babied that motor and did all the required maintenance, the Suzukis had some issues that may have been the cause of my Suzuki failure (not covered by routine recommended maintenance). Anyway, moving on, I decided to go with a new leftover 2011 150 hp Mercury Optimax (got a great deal on the leftover). So in an effort to avoid the same thing happening again, are there any issues that posters have seen with the 2011 Optimax of which a new owner should be aware?
