2011 4.3 MPI with Alpha1 13hrs Cooling Problem

Hey Guys,

After an hour out in a bay i took the boat home to wash it and noticed that their wasn't alot of water coming out of the exhaust port of the leg and also the propeller.
The water that was coming from the exhaust leg was pretty hot on one side

Any ideas of what is happening?

the temp gauge also was sitting a little highr than usual!

With the minimal Info presented,...

I'd guess the Impeller is Shot...

with only 13hrs on it is it possible the impeller is shot already?
could i have done something wrong?

i had the gearcase off at 10hrs to have the skeg repaired as it chipped due to some unknown object floatin in the water.

Ayuh,... It only takes a Minute or less, if it's been run Dry...

Who knows what happened, but the impeller is the first thing you look at and check in any overheat situation. Doesn't take much to destroy one, ever had an overheat? A simple plastic bag in the water can take out an impeller, rather you see the bag or not.

in the bay the water temp was fine. only when i was flushing the engine this happened.
will take the gearcase off n inspect the impeller. hopefully that is the problem and nothing else
