hi guys need some help, so i had put a deposit on a bayliner 195 br, and after much research and thoughts i decided not to go with bayliner 195 br, although its a good bang for the buck, and its a nice boat, but it looks a little outdated as far as design goes, this is after i got to see the monterey and crown line. , resale value etc. (please no offense to bayliner owners in any way) although the monterey is a lot more then bayliner, 7 k more , for some reason i am leaning towards monterey 204 fs, fully loaded with 4.3 MPI, and can order it with my colour choice, i want to do this once for a long time and not regret it. 26 k for bayliner verses monterey for 33k. the crowline 21 ss is about the same price as monterey, but i can only get from what the dealer has in stock, it is lacking some options compared to monterey., and i am getting a better deal with monterey dealer (free slip and storage for a year), but i dont want that to be the decoding factor. I need some honest feed back pros and cons, performance , handling between moneterey 204 fs, and crownline 21 ss. the crown line is 21 feet verses monterey is 19.6, so i will spending more money on crownline over time for slips etc, as it is over 20 feet, etc.
thanks

I can't really speak to price, but that doesn't sound bad. I actually like Monterey's a lot. They tend to have a lot more standard features that you pay extra for elsewhere. They ate nice looking boats so I don't think you could go wrong going with the monterey.

If you are determined to buy new, it's not a bad deal. A year from now you will see how much depreciation has occurred. But, with the amount of good high quality used boats out there, you could have put aside plenty of money as back-up for any major issue on the powerplant. And of course, this is the major reason people buy new. It's your money...

I have an 04 Monterey 190ls that I bought last year and I still get nothing but compliments on it around the marina's. It's a really well built product with tons of standard features. Not dogging the Crownline, but I don't think you can go wrong with either.
