2011 SouthEast Starcraft Get together

Well, HA, (Mike) started this for his area. We tried to have one for our area but NB was the only attendee.:mad:
I thought I would throw this out there for the Eastern/Southern nuts out there. Does anyone have any interest in a meet & greet in our area and where would you recommend? I am in Va, and I am thinking Buggs Island in northern NC & southern Va. I am also thinking late July-early August, same as our northern Brothers.
There are two requirements. 1- you are a Starcraft owner. 2- If you say you are coming, then you must come, no excuses. (I personally am guilty of this on Tinstock)
This would be a family event, if anyone is interested. Any and all suggestion are not only requested..but very much appreciated. :D

Dale, You know if I'm able, I'll def be there! I'd still like to throw my vote in for Smith Mountain Lake. It's really nice, there's lots to do, and lots of house rentals by the week or weekend. FWIW I'm there for a week July 16 every year-rain or shine!!!!!

I've been there too Clay. It is a great suggestion. There are a ton of resteraunts and hotels as you said, and the lake is most definatley large enough:eek:
Heck, if this thing dosen't fly, I would be willing to see you there in July just to have the honor to cruise behind the LL;):D

Tell you what, I'll stay back...say 1000 ft.

Don't think for a second the LL won't be turning heads while I am the dinghy..(story of my life).

Dale I imagine that would be two good lookin boats.

Now let's trash talk that Rat Ba%$#^@ Kev down there in FLOOREEEDAA soakin up the sun & surf..........

I meet criteria #1. However will not commit to attend because I don't want the shame I felt after last NB gathering fell through and I backed out. Did not want to haul my boat 1000 miles and not meet more than 2 or 3 fellow restorers.

For me the closer to the western NC/VA border the better. The odds of us attending are higher than 50% right now so I will watch this thread with interest.

Scuse me sir but I live closer than anyone on that venture and didn't make it. I would think that makes me the worst member. You are welcome to throw out some ideas of lakes closer to you, anyone can, then we can all decide.:D

Well OK. Sardis Lake in NW Mississippi is big and only 8 miles from my place to the closest ramp! See you there. Just kidding...:D

We have relatives in NC and can see visiting them to or from the gathering if it gets organized near the VA border.

Sounds like a great time, I would love to attend, however a tad too far for me. And in july were headed to the Canada lakehouse and Michigan to Critique Jas on his tin( we all know he did the engine right )
