My Optimax 150hp 10 liter oil reservoir is swelling while running. It swelled to the point of cracking :(. I’m not getting any warning beeps. My VesselView shows normal temps and I have good flow from the tell tail. I’ve read that the vent could be the issue, but I don’t see any obvious vent line issues. What is best to diagnose the issue? Thanks for your help!!

No expert on the Optimax but I'm finding that most likely the poppet valve might be stuck

I'm basic ignorant with respect to this engine but the poppet is the higher RPM cooling water bypass providing more cooling to the engine at the higher speeds.....know nothing about an Optimax but I assume any oil container would be in support of fuel supply operations.....what does cooling have to do with fuel mix?

Appears to be nothing, and looks like dingbat has it covered

If I see a thread that no one has responded to and there have had many views (over 24 hours old, over 200 views) I'll do a quick look and find something that "might" help. My comment didn't help but it caused the thread to come back to the top and another did answer it.

So I posted incorrect information, sorry but not sorry because correct was supplied
