2013 Mercury 9.9

I bought a 2013 Mercury 9.9 from an older fellow that had never started it. It sat in a barn on his boat but has never been fired up. I was going to start it today but pushed the cold start primer bulb on the motor and it cracked and busted up. Dry rot I guess... Anything else y’all think I should check into before starting her up? I ordered the bulb today and hopefully will be here Tuesday. I’ll upload pictures tomorrow.

Oh and by the way it was started at the factory before they placed it on his boat when they adjusted the carbs in a vat he said. The motor is immaculate and I think I got a good deal on the boat, motor, trailer. Hopefully can have her going by spring break.

dont even think of starting it until you replace the impeller too
