2016 mercury 60hp 4 stroke possible bent shaft

While trying to get out on the lake I felt a bump and then a vibration started. The lake has a lot of tree stumps but thought 20 feet of water was deep enough. My rpms were about 4500. Could that have bent the shaft or just the prop. Just your best guess. Only had the new boat for 10 days. I can get a new shaft for less than $200 should I replace it.

Why guess? Take the boat to the dealer to check it. You will be mad at yourself if you buy a new prop shaft and it turns out to be the prop, which you then need to buy or have repaired.
