Looking for a good place and price to get a 20hp carb to upgrade my 2009 15hp/4 stroke. Should be a simple swap, both engines are the same 351cc block. Anyone know of a good place online to get good pricing, please pass it along.
Thanks

There was a post here or in the tohatsu forum a couple weeks ago about this subject. Try searching both forums.

The swap would be just to get a little more grunt. The 09 is basically a 20 anyway @ 351cc. Just figured if it was an easy swap for a couple hundred why not?

Look at it this way. Chevy built a couple billion 350 cubic inch engines ranging from 165 HP to 365 HP. Do you think the carb is the only thing that changed on these engines? On some outboards a carb change may be all that changes but generally it is not. But you won't know that until you take both parts lists and compare them part number for part number. This question gets asked all the time and the answer is always the same. Getting almost 40% more power with a carb change only sounds like a stretch.

According to the parts diagram that is all that is different. Actually even the carb body is the same. So, I was wondering if anyone has done it, and if it truly is an easy swap.
