20hp mariner after service, speek still 13 to 14km/h

Hi guys.

I would need your expert opinion, after service my 20hp mariner outboard motor by professional marine outboard mechanic, on 14ft aluminum boat, the apeed is still 13 to 14km/h and after few hrs whwn i am using key to atart, it disn5 start and i have to use wheel to pull start, mechanic told me that my carburetor was bad and he said he replaced bigger speed motor carburetor (i think 25 or 30hp). But my speed is atill 13 to 15km/h.

That's not even on plane. What did he do? Explain more about the carb. swapping you mentioned? Did he get it running satisfactorily in the shop? Numerous things could cause your problem and you'd have to supply some spec numbers and some things you checked and answers to aid in helping you.

How about a serial #
