Most full size trucks are coming from the factory with 20" rims, 22's will not be a problem. Unless you are looking at lowering and need a low profile tire, you can get an All Terain tire for 22's and have no problems on slippery ramps. My Dodge came with 20" rims and 33" tires from the factory. I have since put on Cooper A/T tires and have excellent traction in 2wd. Even with 22's, you can still have a lot of sidewall with larger tires. I have more sidewall on my 20s than most small trucks have on 15" rims.
