anyone have some ideas ABOUT what those 22' starcraft outboard models draft when in standard dress? nothing outrageous on board....just the boat gas and motor and stabndard interior.

I am thinking of maybe looking into one of the bigger starcrafts, but I dont want it if 18" or more of boat is underwater!

thanks

Re: 22' starcrafts draft??

I have a 21' Mariner, with a 1985 Johnson 90 and a 7.5 hp kicker. I'm just guessing but I would say I draft about 8-10 " unloaded. I know at 18"' I will drag the skeg if not trimmed up with 3 on board.

Here are a couple of pics.

thanks, so the chine is JUST underwater at rest...and if loaded...even more so.....18" is a lot

I wonder if the 18.5 footer is less or the same? i already have an 18.5 footer in the works.

A lot of the 22' are going to be V5 hulls which would have a deeper draft for sure. I would imagine the 22' are wider than the 18'.

Mariner (pictured above) is 70" at the chines, draft would be 10" based on what the second pic is showing, Minimum water to run 24" based on measuring top of draft to bottom of skeg.

Hope this helps

Re: 22' starcrafts draft??

I have a 22 starcraft holiday with a 200 Johnson that I will float as soon as the wind stops blowing so hard here on the Wa. Coast.I can try to see what the draft is sitting, as I will use a dock for launching. It is empty of all gear ready to sell and I will sea trial it first so reading you ask for should be close. It is not a V5 hull ,as it a 1975 Holiday. Ill get back to you.
