220 1987 mariner will not start and run

i have a 220 1987 mariner on a center console . I just finished putting on the new stator on today and now I have spark on all 6cyls. no the issue is i have realy strong spark,cracks fine but the issue is that it will not start.i can smelll the fuel but wont fire over, can anyone help please.?

Does the fuel pump come run when you just turn the key to "on"? Has the ECU harness come unpluged or loose?

Flooded?

Remove the spark plugs and look at them, clean them off or replace them. While they are out, retest spark just to be sure that you have a hot spark on all cyls. The cranking will also help dry out any excess fuel in the motor.

Also check WOT timing to be sure nothing has changed during your repairs.

it still has very stong spark as far as the plugs ive tried that, still doesnt start,not sure what wot stands for? and just to let everyone know this motor ind not fuel injected it has 3 carbs on it and it is oil injected.

Sorry as most of the 220hp I have worked on are Xri design. Check for flooding as suggested and if you removed the trigger/coil wiring on switchbox check that they are on correct terminals..

First i want to say im sorry for giving you wrong information on my motor. well this has come to my attention, that the information of the mariner that i bought from the marina was totaly wrong this is not a mariner 1987 220. the reason i know now is because everyone kept telling me that it was was an efi with the ecu, and i kept say no it has triple carbs on her. well on the back of the motor it says 220 but on the sides it has and say 2000, so when i took it to the mariner to a mariner dealer for verification when i told them what what the marina said they had said they had sold me they kinda chucled and said i was not wrong it does have carbs it this motor is called a Mariner V-2000, i never even heard of that, has anybody else? Can anyone help me get a compleate repair and sevice manual on this motor it self with diagrams that would be great.thanks

Never heard of one and I have been doing this for nearly 35 years.... post a picture and serial number of engine.
