225 Ficht preformance

time to replace the tired 2.7 litre seadrive<br />1.3 to 1.5 mpg cannot get me to were i want to go! this winter will remove the seadrive<br />and replace with a new bracket!<br />the boat I have is a 23 foot sea ox 14 degree deadrise 1/2 tower what kind of milage can I get from a 2000 225 ficht with 400 hours????<br />at cruise and at trolling speed 6.6 knots<br /><br /> Thanks Bogart.

(I currently get a 2.4 - 2.6 nmpg a cruise with 2 people and a full tank (105 gallons). 4250 rpms (28.5 knots). I have a floscan interfaced with my gps and these a true numbers. I don't really troll all to much but I can tell you that in the 5 mph no wake zone its about 7 - 9 nmpg. Very good numbers for trolling. but these fichts don't like long period trolling. They tend to load up and foul the plugs (from what I've read). Although I have trolled for about 30 minute clips and never had a problem. More info ... WOT 1.6 nmpg @ 38 knots (15x17) aluminum prop (85 hours on engine.)
