Just like the title says, I have run my 1994 225 ocean pro on the hose about 6 times, and out in the water a couple times. Out in the water it has a slight shudder, or studder just about 3000RPM. Bad enough to make me worry and shake the GPS on the console.
Above that she jumps right up, and below that it idles and trolls pretty good. I have the idle set at 1000RPM on the hose and idles just below that in the water. It runs right up to 6200 at the top end.
The fuel tank, filter and lines are all BRAND new, fuel is fresh, and I threw a bit of dry gas in there to take care of any water residue after pressure testing the tank.
I threw some plugs at it because the original ones had fogging oil residue on them. This motor was in storage for about a year before I bought it. Motor has been rebuilt in the last couple years, all comp #'s are between 95-110psi.
Am I looking at rebuilding the carbs and tuning them? I had also thought about replacing plug wires too but they seam soft and not not cracked.
