Basically i have the opportunity to buy a moored boat minus the outboard currently on it for $6000 AUS which is about $4k american..<br /><br />It is a 25' Flybridge Cruiser and it is currently moored in saltwater<br /><br />A boat like that with outboard attached on the water ready to go usually goes for about $23,000 AUS (16K US). This boat would require a 250+hp motor to get it moving right? So if i were to pick up lets say a 1998 or so yamaha or mercury for about $4-5K US and spend $1000 to get it on (steering etc etc) and strap it on would the boat be economical.. Would the boat plane out? Lets say i would need to travel about 30miles in one boat trip (total) how much petrol would i look at using if the condition were not the best but not the worst you know
