25 hp evenrude

i have a 1973 25 hp evenrude motor with electic start and was wondering if it had some type of charging system on it? what would be a very good manuel for the motor? where can i get a parts veiw and part numbers from?<br />thanks

I have the same motor, and mine has a charging system on it, I found this out the hard way, while night fishing I ran the battery dead, but I pull started it, and the battery has not gone dead since. You can get a service manual for that motor at the bottom left hand corner of this page, or at www.kencook.com

thanks for the info..can i run my motor without a battery and not harm the charging system?
