Hello This is my first post on here and I hope someone on here can help me please I have a 1975 25hp evinrude outboard model 25502B its a pull start. Is it possible to put an electric start in it? Looks like holes for a bracket on the motor but I cant find a picture of one with electric starter to see the placement. Any and all help would be appreciated Thanks Bill

Conversion is pretty simple if you have a Factory Service Manual (www.outboardbooks.com), Bill. That will make clear what additional parts you need and where they go.

In the Top Secret File ^^^ there is a listing of salvage yards that can supply the key parts. Others you will want new.

Good luck. :)

The starter kit is available. Part number is 0171845 for the whole kit. 500 bucks. It includes the starter, brackets, cables, switch, solenoid, nuts, bolts, etc.

of course there's the question of putting a $500 starter + $100 battery on a $300 motor....
