Today cousin and I went out to sea trial some boats hes interested in ,a 2390 hydra sports with a single 250 evinrude and the same boat with a 250 yammie. I know its not a fair test cause only the evinrude was direct injection but man o man !!! that evinrude is really some machine !! we both tested yamaha hpdi,merc opti all are or seemed to be great engines, but that evinrude really sticks out, unbeleivable power curve.I sure hope bombardier has done it right for the long haul ( remains to be seen) but if these engines prove to be reliable,the other manufacturers better look out, this thing is truly amazing !!<br /> ps, 6 mph faster then the yammie,and carrying 13 gallons more fuel.And burned 28% less
