25hp suzuki problems,, should work but dosent.?.

Ive had this 25hp Suzuki for 1yr and ran good its older but like new, a week ago i cleaned out the carb and put it back on (prepping for winter) and it started up(seemed ok) took it out for test run was running good for 20min then it just died out couldn't get it started again, only will start for a few second on choke. any answers???

Sounds like the carb needs to be properly cleaned and rebuilt. This is not generally a big deal but it must be done correctly. Suzuki carbs are quite precise and need to be taken good care off.
The carb must be removed, stripped and soaked in Gunk product Carb and parts cleaner. Spray cleaner will do more harm than good. Replace the needle and seat, if the seat is replaceable, and the gaskets. Follow the instructions on the Gunk can and all will be well.
Always use Stabil in your fuel as this will minimize future problems.

well i used gum out carb cleaner when i did it soaked it for 30min and looked good to me,... but it was runing well on the water for 20min so if it was working why would it just stop and not start? seems like carb was working

IF it will fire off with choke on then it must be starving for fuel.
Does it help to pump the primer bulb and does the bulb get firm?

You may have a problem with the pump or blockage in the fuel supply system, or the carbs have plugged up again from trash that was in the pump, lines, or tank

yes plenty of ventilation can even get it to fire now
