Ok so I am indeed a gluten for punishment. While most of the hull has been 2 packed, the cabin is a disaster.8.3 Cummins diesel is in awesome nick, only 400 hours.Engine install is done with a jackshaft which runs the pumps ect, leaving me with a clear transom and an engine cover only 12 inches high.I have picked up a 1.65 ratio Duoprop lower to update the drive.I intend to restore the cabin doors to their place ,PO has removed them for some reason. All the bar work needs replacing, just have to love the bow rail made from gal water pipe."New" trailer is being sandblasted at the moment ,will refit it to suit then i am able to go and pick her up.
My current thoughts are to get the cabin lockable and weather tight before touching inside.Strip out the cockpit and refinish it with a non slip deck .The cabin looks horribly old as is - wondering if some flush glazed windows and removing the front hatch(not sure why that was cut out...walk around cabin and all...) and replacing with a 1 piece screen will improve things.Would love to hear any opinions/ideas. Will post more soon.
Regards Doug
